In 1954, after a time of extensive fasting and prayer, Jesus Christ himself came to Paul J. Cunningham, and ministered to him.
At midnight, Christ appeared in the room, filling the room with the glorious light of His presence. Paul Cunningham fell on his face, prostrate before the Glorified Christ.
Christ came to where Paul lay on the floor, touching him on his shoulder and said, Paul, sit up! When Paul sat up, on his knees, Christ said, Paul, stretch out your hands, with the palms up.
Paul complied, and Christ laid His nail scarred hands on his hands, and said, I have come because of your fasting and prayer. I am calling you to be an Apostle and a Prophet to the nations. I am giving you the Gifts of Healing and the Working of Miracles. Be faithful, and you will live to see my return. Many other personal things were spoken and then He was gone.
Since that day, Signs, Wonders and Miracles have accompanied Paul's ministry, as he has gone around the world proclaiming the Gospel of The Kingdom of God.
In the mid 1950's, through an Open Vision Paul was given the supernatural Gift of the Spanish language. From that moment, he has been able to read, write and fluently speak Spanish.
In the late 1950's, God used him in Guatemala and El Salvador, to bring nationwide revival to those countries. Hundreds of churches were established, and revival swept those nations.
In the following years, Paul was used of God in Tent Evangelism, Missions and church building/revivals across America, in Mexico and Central America.
When God sent Paul to Miracle Valley to minister to A.A.Allen, it was one more supernatural manifestation of the Miraculous Call of God, and the Supernatural Anointing that rests on this ministry.
Paul was in city-wide revival, in the Veterans Memorial Auditorium, in Vallejo, California, when the angel of God appeared to him, directing him to go to Miracle Valley and minister to A.A.Allen and announce the New Restoration Revival Move of God.
Immediately, he closed the revival meeting and went to Miracle Valley. The rest is history. (See April, 1965 Miracle Magazine.)
After receiving a phone call from Dr. Larry Hammond, who was on the International Board of Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship, inviting him to Sweden as one of the ministers on the airlift, Paul boarded a 707 in Chicago, and went to Sweden, where he ministered for the next six weeks, in many cities; some above the Artic Circle. An effective door was opened for his ministry in all of Europe and Scandanavia.
For the next 15 years, he ministered in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Holland, and several other nations.From 1975, he was accompanied by his wife Sharon, and their 3 children. Below is one photo of just one of the meetings; this one in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Feeling led of God to minister in England and the UK, Bro. Cunningham makes plans for crusades, and airline reservations to go. After speaking of the plans with A.A.Allen, Allen feels led to invest in the crusades financially, and makes his office facilities and staff available to Cunningham. Allen commissions Cunningham to see to his affairs in the UK and subsequently turns oversight of the work there over to Cunningham, who conducts annual crusades there, that Leave a permanent Mark for God on the nation.
In 1971, at his request, Cunningham takes Allen's successor to England, where giant crusades rock the nation see photos below. In 1972 Cunningham places the UK ministry in Stewarts hands. ( A mistake).
